A novel by Monica Munguia
Summary
The short stories, poems, personal narratives, and art comprised in this book is a glimpse into several women’s lives. Each woman exists out of character from what is expected of her mentally, physically, and most of all spiritually. You might relate to one or two, and others you will not appreciate their reality. Each word has God’s presence even if fictional interpretations are distorted, and the women were not familiar with His nature. The book’s endeavor is for the reader to identify women’s empowerment while flourishing from God’s true nature for them.
Esther Saves Her People
Then Queen Esther answered, “My king, if you are pleased with me, and if it pleases you, let me live. This is what I ask. And let my people live, too. This is what I want.” -Esther 7:3
Women are exposed to several developmental ideas in their lives. Whether taught and enacted by their culture, religion, environment, or society. It is difficult to be oneself when so much is being forced on us. Yet we are victorious in all we do even if not advocated by woman.
.….if it pleases you, let me live.
